Personal Experience

George Giles is an M&A Advisor of DBG Advisors, a D/FW-based Business Advisory Firm that specializes in M&A Advisory, Business Brokerage, Commercial Real Estate, and Coaching Services. George’s expertise is assisting Business Owners as they prepare their businesses for sale with a full complement
of service and support required to build value, market, and successfully manage the contract-to-close process with business sales and acquisitions. He has developed and uses a comprehensive set of tools and methodologies to assist Business Owners in their decision-making process with how and when to exit their business most effectively and profitably possible.

George started his corporate career as a fourth-generation member of a family-owned Printing and Publishing Company in New England that dated back to the 1800s. After leading the family business through an explosive period of growth in the early 1980s, he moved on to a career with the R.R. Donnelley & Sons family of companies – a fortune 100 company at the time. He spent the next 20 years in a variety of roles in Sales & Marketing, Accounting & Operations Management, Organizational Diagnosis & Development, and Information Technology. His career took him through several corporate startups, mergers and acquisitions, providing him with a rich and varied base of experience that serves the best interests of DBG Advisor’s clientele well.

Leaving Corporate America, George has over 20 years of experience in Real Property, M&A Advisory, and Business Brokerage. He has earned numerous distinctions and certifications in the industry. Notably, George is a Certified M&A Professional (CM&AP), Certified Business Intermediary (CBI), and Board-Certified Broker (TABB) in the state of Texas. He is also a former Certified Value Builder Advisor (CVBA) and Advisory Board Member to The Value Builder System in Toronto, Canada.

With the onset of the COVID19 Pandemic, he joined forces with Ron West of Business Brokerage Press – co-hosting 100s of webinars for the M&A industry, affiliates, and interested parties. Together, they have brought countless industry and affiliate experts – providing presentations to help business owners while elevating the depth and professionalism of Practitioners.

George is an avid outdoorsman spending his 20s hiking many sections of the Appalachian Trail and downhill ski racing – Giant Slalom and a gold medal winner in a regional NASTAR event. He is also an accomplished golfer, and these days spends as much off-time as he can with his wife, Cynthia, both certified PADI Advanced Divers, exploring the reefs off the Florida coast, Caribbean, and Bahamas.
