Dr. L. Nolan Duck is the founder and CEO of DBG Advisors. Nolan is passionate about working with business owners to get their company organizationally healthy and financially profitable as they move toward an exit. Whether they plan to sell now or ten years from now, his goal is to build the Full Value of their company, so they are ready to sell if someone comes calling. He uses his experience of selling companies to guide business owners through the exit planning process and the sale of their company.

Nolan is a member of the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB), a Board Certified Broker, a member of the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA), the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) and is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker. Nolan received his BA from the University of Arkansas, Master’s degrees in Theology and Religious Education with a Doctorate in preaching from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife live in Richardson, Texas.

Herbert Severin, MBA, has for nearly 20 years worked with small companies implementing strategies for operational efficiency and near-term sales increases. Herbert’s work has resulted in growing sales from $10 million to more than $20 million in less than 24 months, building a global distribution network to 24 countries, and leading the development and market launch of technology products. He has provided operational leadership as an executive within companies involved in mergers and divestitures.

Herbert has worked with DBG Advisors for the past eight years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible/Theology from Evangel University, a Master of Business Administration degree from LeTourneau University, and is a Certified Value Builder. Herbert has served LeTourneau as the Vice Chair of the Alumni Board, and he lives with his wife and children in McKinney, Texas.

During Matthew’s first full-time master’s degree at Dallas Theological Seminary, he worked as the Chief Innovation Officer of a mid-sized international manufacturing company where he streamlined operations organization-wide, revamped the interdepartmental reporting structure, and improved the corporate culture while doubling the US footprint. Matthew has self-funded three startups and two independent charitable funds that he continues to manage on a volunteer-basis. He has received awards in business negotiation, complex problem solving, and entrepreneurial leadership.

Matthew is married and has two small children.  He is also a member of the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB), the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and is a licensed Texas Realtor.

He continues to provide leadership as the Interim Dean of the Kelley College of Business at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. Dr. Tucker is a lifelong learner and is expanding his already extensive education by developing skills as a Business Valuation Specialist, Certified ValueBuilder, Business Broker and Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor. Robert has joined DBG Advisors as a Consultant and is offering his services to the West Texas community, officing in Abilene, Texas. Dr. Tucker is also a member of the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB.)
